These Terms of Use govern your use of the Fix It Vancouver website (fixitvancouver.com) and referral service. By submitting a quote request or using our website, you agree to these terms.

1. Nature of Our Service

Fix It Vancouver is a referral service only. We connect customers with independent handyman professionals in Metro Vancouver. We do not employ handymen, perform home repair work ourselves, or supervise the work performed by professionals in our network.

The independent professionals we refer to operate their own businesses, set their own rates, and are solely responsible for the quality, safety, and legality of the work they perform.

2. No Guarantee of Results

While we make reasonable efforts to vet the professionals in our network, Fix It Vancouver does not guarantee:

• The quality or outcome of any work performed
• That a professional will be available for your specific job or timing
• Any particular pricing or cost for the work
• That the professional holds any specific license or insurance beyond what we have verified at the time of referral

3. Your Responsibilities

By submitting a quote request, you agree to:

• Provide accurate and complete information about yourself and the job
• Deal directly with the referred professional regarding pricing, scheduling, and scope of work
• Ensure you have the necessary authority to authorize the work (e.g., landlord permission for tenants, strata approval where required)
• Not use our service for any unlawful purpose

4. Information Sharing

By submitting a quote request, you consent to Fix It Vancouver sharing your contact information and job details with relevant handyman professionals in our network for the purpose of fulfilling your referral request.

5. Limitation of Liability

Fix It Vancouver is not liable for any damages, losses, or claims arising from:

• The work performed (or not performed) by any referred professional
• Any disputes between you and a referred professional
• Any property damage, personal injury, or financial loss resulting from work performed through our referral
• Any delays, cancellations, or no-shows by referred professionals

Your sole remedy for dissatisfaction with a referred professional is to contact us at hello@fixitvancouver.com so we can take appropriate steps regarding that professional's continued participation in our network.

6. Disputes With Professionals

Any dispute regarding the work performed, pricing, or conduct of a referred professional is between you and that professional directly. Fix It Vancouver is not a party to any agreement between you and the handyman, and is not responsible for resolving disputes about the work itself.

We do ask that you notify us of any serious concerns about a professional's conduct so we can review their continued participation in our network.

7. Intellectual Property

All content on fixitvancouver.com — including text, design, logos, and images — is the property of Fix It Vancouver or is used with permission. You may not reproduce, distribute, or use our content without written permission.

8. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms of Use at any time. Changes take effect when posted on this page. Continued use of our service after changes are posted constitutes acceptance.

9. Governing Law

These terms are governed by the laws of the Province of British Columbia and the federal laws of Canada applicable therein. Any disputes shall be resolved in the courts of British Columbia.
